Mitchell County Hospital District is located in Colorado City Texas, the only hospital in Mitchell County was named a Critical Access Hospital in 2005. The original hospital was Root Memorial Hospital later changed to Mitchell County Hospital in 1980. The new state of the art facility is \conveniently located on Interstate 20 in Colorado City city limits. The 25 bed facility has an excellent Medical Staff and trained personnel to assist local and area residents with first-rate care. Residents are happy to have that personal care from physicians and nursing staff they know personally.
